Once again this past Tuesday, we had another opportunity to gather (via Zoom) for our monthly prayer meeting. These focussed prayer gatherings began more than a decade ago at Bethel Church, having grown out of a previous church renewal effort. We have sometimes included some study material and videos on prayer but largely we have kept the prayer meeting format simple: we share (briefly), then we pray! At this last meeting, we were reminded in a number of ways of the meaningful prayer resources available to us. One member pointed specifically to the CCNL (Christian Churches Network of London) prayer prompts that are available. If you would like to check those out, please go to the following link:

One of the more recent prayer prompts points us to the following as a scripture to shape our lives and our life of prayer. Ephesians 2:8-10 (NLT) says this: "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." - EGN
