Last week we were introduced to the DNA group concept for Bethel Church. Here follows some questions and answers regarding DNA groups:
WHAT’S THE SIZE OF A DNA GROUP?
Your size should allow for meaningful connection. A frequently sized group for prayer of this kind is 3 or 3 households; sometimes known as prayer triplets or triads.
HOW CAN I BE PART OF A DNA GROUP?
There are several ways to create and be part of a DNA group. Here are some suggestions: You may create your own group or make it part of a new study or even dinner club. You may already be a part of a bible study or book study or social group; consider devoting a portion of your group time to subgroups of 3 for prayer. You may receive help starting a group by indicating your interest on the available sign-up sheet on the welcome center or by contacting the office or Pastor Eric.
HOW OFTEN DOES THE DNA GROUP MEET?
The frequency of meeting for the group is up to the participants! It could be monthly or weekly or somewhere in between. Meeting less than monthly might be a challenge but might work if you combined meetings with a disciplined way of staying connected through emails or phone calls.
WHEN WOULD WE MEET?
This would depend on the preferences of your group members. Your choice may be Sunday mornings at church before worship, an evening during the week in your home, over meal or any early morning get-together anywhere, whatever is convenient for you.
